I have three friends who I get together with each year to celebrate their November birthdays. Two are hitting milestones this month, while the other friend and I are already on the other side of that hill. I wanted to commemorate that event, and our lasting friendships, with a gift that was both meaningful and doable given my time and monetary constraints, and their limited wall space. I came up with these 3 inch square "whatknots", which in this case represent our lasting, unbroken sisterhood. Each was made with the same three colors, in varying degrees, yet each has it's own personality and story. (The little stands are repurposed silverware.) They didn't take long to do, but they were done with love. I'm sharing them to illustrate that, no matter what your limitations, just giving what little you can of yourself can be the perfect gift for someone.
